Professional signing and notarization support for wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, deeds, and related estate planning documents.
Onyx assists with estate planning documents that have already been prepared by an attorney or legal document service.
We assist with identity verification, notarial acts, and witness coordination when needed. We do not draft legal documents or provide legal advice.
Estate planning signings are handled by a Certified Notary Trust Delivery Agent (CNTDA) and Certified Notary Estate Planning Partner (CNEPP).
Mobile and Remote Online Notarization services are available for eligible documents.
Individual Estate Document Signing
$125 In-Office | $200 Mobile
For 1-2 prepared estate planning documents, such as a Will, Power of Attorney, Living Will, or similar document. Generally up to 30 minutes. This service includes scanning the executed documents and providing digital copies by email.
Mobile pricing includes travel within 10 miles of our Wheaton office.
Remote Online Notarization is available for eligible documents. Contact us to confirm availability and pricing.
Pricing reflects the complete signing appointment and related services. Applicable Illinois notarial acts are itemized separately at $5 per act within the quoted service total.
Complete Estate Plan Signing
$225 In-Office | $300 Mobile
For multi-document Will or Trust estate plans and related supporting documents. Generally up to 90 minutes. This service includes scanning the executed documents and providing digital copies by email.
Mobile pricing includes travel within 10 miles of our Wheaton office.
Remote Online Notarization is available for eligible documents. Contact us to confirm availability and pricing.
Pricing reflects the complete signing appointment and related services. Applicable Illinois notarial acts are itemized separately at $5 per act within the quoted service total.

We work with estate planning attorneys, financial planners, wealth management professionals, and other professional advisors who need reliable signing support for their clients.
Preferred partner pricing and recurring service arrangements are available for attorney-led, in-office, mobile, and Remote Online Notarization client signings.

Do you prepare or provide estate planning documents?
No. We do not draft or provide legal documents. Our role is limited to the professional execution and notarization of documents prepared by an attorney or an online estate planning platform such as LegalZoom. If you need a recommendation for an estate planning attorney or online platform, just ask!
Do you provide legal advice or explain my documents?
No. We do not provide legal advice or interpret the contents of estate planning documents. We provide professional signing and notarization support and follow attorney-provided or document-provided signing instructions when available.
Do you offer mobile or Remote Online estate plan signings?
Yes. In-office and mobile estate plan signing appointments are available. Remote Online Notarization may also be available for eligible documents. Contact us if you are unsure which appointment type is appropriate.
Are estate plan signing prices fixed?
Published pricing reflects the standard scope of the selected signing service. Additional charges may apply for witness coordination, additional signers, extended travel, deed recording, after-hours scheduling, or other special circumstances. Any additional charges will be confirmed before the appointment.
What is the difference between an Individual Estate Document Signing and a Complete Estate Plan Signing?
Individual Estate Document Signing is intended for 1–2 prepared estate planning documents, such as a Will, Power of Attorney, or Living Will. Complete Estate Plan Signing is intended for multi-document Will or Trust estate plans and related supporting documents. If you’re unsure which service fits your documents, contact us before booking.
Can estate planning documents be signed remotely?
Some prepared estate planning documents may be eligible for Remote Online Notarization. Requirements vary by document and signing circumstances, so please contact us before booking a remote appointment.
Do you provide witnesses if my documents require them?
Yes. Witness coordination is available as an add-on service and can be selected during booking. Availability is subject to scheduling and document requirements.
Can you record deeds with the county?
Yes. We offer courier services for deed recording, including DuPage County and surrounding Chicagoland counties. County recording fees are paid separately and vary by document type.
What should I bring to my appointment?
All signers must bring valid, government-issued photo identification. If witnesses are required and provided by the client, they must also present valid ID.
What if my attorney has special signing instructions?
That is not a problem. We are accustomed to working from attorney-provided signing instructions when available.
Can I use this service if my documents were created through an online estate planning platform?
Yes. We assist clients whose documents were prepared through an attorney, online legal platform, or estate planning service, as long as the documents are complete and ready for signing.
